Measure A is a 1/8th of a penny sales tax which will provide funding for important local programs that provide a significant benefit to our community.

Measure A will:

• Maintain high quality health care at Valley Medical Center hospital and important facilities like the trauma center, burn unit and Emergency Room, so that they are ready to deliver critical services when it matters most.

• Prevent cuts to the county’s Healthy Kids program, which provides coverage for thousands of children who would otherwise be uninsured. 

• Improve public safety and keep criminals off the streets by supporting law enforcement programs and invest in our students by funding programs to help kids stay in school, stay healthy and able to learn.

• Support the control of infectious diseases like tuberculosis, whooping cough, HIV and H1N1 through early detection and immunizations, improving public health.

Every dime generated by Measure A is spent on Santa Clara County residents – not one penny of it will go to Sacramento!
